The official Charles ‘Bud’ Tingwell website.
Not only was Charles a legendary actor, he also appeared early on with another great legend as well, Christopher Lee in the Hammer House of Horror film, Dracula: Prince of Darkness.
Farewell Charles… Bud!
Here i am again in Reading, for week this time.. Work have put me on another course to further my skills in the HR system we use, Peoplesoft. This is the second part to a course i went on last October, Peopletools II. Basically i’m learning how to build the applications needed to run our HR department efficiently. very similar to what i was doing at CGU, except that i now have 150 users instead of 30, and i’m the only developer! This time though, the tools are fully supported, and i don’t have to skirt round the limitations imposed by tech services. if i need it, i receive it! Within monetary limits of course.
Well, my dinner has arrived. Time to enjoy some thai!

BBC: Heavy snow disrupts London travel
The Age: London at standstill in biggest snowfall for decades
Tried to get into work, no dice I’m afraid. My sideburns froze, snow gathered like a little snow man on my head and snot and tears froze like little icicles hanging off my eyes and nose. Nothing to do but build a snow cave and sit this one out…
Yup, stranded in Milton Keynes because some knob thought it would be a great idea to smear themselves thinly over the insides of a tunnel, using a train as the knife.
The train I was snug and warm in has now been cancelled and is returning to Manchester, with all other services south being cancelled as well.
I have no problem with being stranded or having my train interrupted. I get to see somewhere I would never have visited. Sure, it will only be the inside of the Milton Keynes Central rail station, at night, all shops closed, nothing of interest within a mile surrounded by upset and angry folk trying to find their way into London.
What I do have a problem with, is the selfish prick who’s death has served nothing more than putting hundreds of people into a situation for which most of them will have problems getting to where they wanted to go, loved ones now having to risk their own lives by getting into their cars to drive several dozen miles to do something the train would have done for them, leaving police to investigate and paramedics to clean up the sickening leftovers, and the family and friends that now have to deal with a loss of someone they loved. Selfish suicide! It’s not just about you, you know!
